Pictured above is our Jumpstart graduation for our preschoolers at CentroNia School in Washington, DC along with myself and my partner children. In the past year, I have watched my children grow from strangers unenthusiastic towards reading and unwavering towards our classroom rules, to my admirable, enthusiastic, and inspirational role models. Every time I enter the classroom, I am more confident that because of Jumpstart, these children will become leaders in their community. I have seen these four-year-olds learn how to command their peers, voice their ideas, smooth out problems, and show pure compassion for one another - all of which has been influenced by Jumpstart's outstanding curriculums and activities, along with child interactions with both Corps Members and each other. Their leadership gives me hope for all of the children who have graduated from such a heartwarming program like Jumpstart.

AmeriCorps made every teaching moment I have experienced possible, and I could not thank them enough - not only for what they have bestowed upon our children, but the invaluable love and comfort they have provided for me as well.
