Every year, along with my students we fundraise funds to offset our End of the Year College Road Trip. On one of the last days, we have a beach bonfire in Carmel, CA. We sing songs, share stories, and connect on a personal level with our students and teachers. Keeping in mind, many of our middle school students have not seen or been to a beach. Seeing my students experiencing something foreign, that many of us take for granted is special to my heart. I took this picture of the girls holding hands about to run in to the water together. These amazing young ladies wanted to experience ocean water hitting their feet together, and by holding hands they were able to share this amazing moment and I am so blessed to be able to capture the essence of being a kid!
