Bringing awareness to a small community about the effects of homelessness is a challenge in a community where homelessness is not as bold as it is in a large city. AmeriCorps Works...to open my own eyes to the reality of homelessness in my own small town and I shared this knowledge with my community during Homeless Awareness Week this year. I asked the community some tough questions on cardboard and their responses prompted interactive discussion about the issue of homelessness in our area.
