In October 2011, under the supervision of Hunger Free VT, I organized a Hike for Hunger with students at my host site. Our goal was to raise money through pledges of support for our local Learning Kitchen, which helps fund healthy cooking worksops for low income families. Our students collectively raised almost $200.00 and hiked a local mountain in 40 degree weather!!
