Seeds for Change!

This picture is of my boss, myself, and a co-worker. We are from the Kansas Wildlife, Parks & Tourism department. We traveled up to Chicago on June 18th to take part in an event called "Seeds for Change". In this picture, we had spent a day planting a garden, and building the benches and tables to go in the garden for Wendell Phillips High school. This event had 44 volunteers, and around 6 group leaders. We were wearing the red and blue Americorps shirts, and the man in green beside us was the event organizer. It took a little over 5 and a half hours to complete, and afterwards, the principal showed up to thank us and tell us about his high school. It was one of the most fun, memorable times of my life!
