Martin Luther King Jr. Service Day was a community project at IS 218 in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Allies from the AmeriCorps program Public Allies' New York City branch joined with the Police Athletic League to support youth in their community art projects, making care packages for the needy, and participating in workshops about MLK's legacy.
