MCC - "Long hours, hard work, low pay"

While working with the Montana Conservation Corps, my crew partnered with the Madison Ranger District to install marking posts along the North Willow Creek trail in the Tobacco Root Mountain Range, hiking 2 miles from the trailhead a few thousand feet of elevation below where this picture was taken. We also installed an 18' footbridge, cleared dead-fall from the trail, and installed check dams to prevent soil erosion throughout the 9 day hitch (and I accidentally bear sprayed myself to cap off the experience) - very memorable and scenic
